EVENTS: Reverse Crit
2002
Held on February 20, starting at 6:00 PM, Lawrence Hall room 278/279
On Wednesday, February 20, members of the local AIA
chapter, University of Oregon AIAS members, other students, and professors
met for a Reverse Crit in Lawrence Hall. Representatives from four local
firms each presented an in-progress project. The presenting firms and
projects were Chuck Bailey Architect (The Ngoc Son Tinh Xa Temple in SE
Portland), Robertson/Sherwood/Architects PC (The Dining Area Renovation
of Hamilton Hall), TGB Architects and Planners/Inc (The Cottage Grove
Community Hospital), and WBGS Architecture and Planning (The West Eugene
Wetlands Center). The turnout was large, and the event gave students and
professionals the opportunity to review local projects and to discuss
the differences between academic design studios and professional practice.
